GLYTA
COMMUNICATION
This is
a communication to the GLYTA members which includes minutes from our
9/2/2006 meeting at Song of the Morning Ranch. The main thrust of this
meeting was to begin a discussion about updating our teacher’s
training. After the
meeting it was decided to delay the minutes to the membership so
that we could receive feedback, and put together a revised outline
for an updated teacher’s training program. After meeting a couple
more times, Kathy, Mary Ann and I (Roy)
have created a recommendation for the new
GLYTA Teacher’s Training.
We hope this will stir more discussion and feedback so that
we can vote on it when we vote for officers March of 2007. Please read our
recommendations carefully and communicate to us your thoughts,
support, and suggestions for changes or improvement.
We are
adamant about this project because:
1.
We are one of the only Yoga Teacher’s
Organization whose roots come from the true practice of kriya yoga,
and who understand how to maintain the meditative base.
2.
We need to update the way we present
ourselves to the public.
3.
We have Song of the Morning Ranch Staff
and others who wish to become Golden Lotus Yoga Teachers.
4.
It is also our desire to reinvigorate our
organization and train new teachers to keep our legacy
alive.

The
GLYTA will be holding a weekend intensive at the Ranch the weekend
of February
2nd through 4th. We need teachers to teach a
few of the segments.
This will be a great time for
you to attend and get involved in a GLYTA workshop and a tremendous
opportunity for the students in your yoga classes to become more
involved and dedicated to their yoga practice. It should be a great weekend
and we are looking forward to seeing many of you and your
students. A flier will
follow shortly giving a more detailed description and an agenda for
the weekend.
·
We are also considering holding an
spring GLYTA banquet. If you would like to get involved with this
please let Kathy or Roy know.
·
We are looking for a few people to
take this on as their project with our support, since our plates are
already pretty full.
·
Thanks for all you do. Om, Peace, Bliss, Amen
Roy
